Not sure but they sound ruined anyway so whats to lose by putting them through the washing machine? Might be worth contacting the manufacturer for help on cleaning products you can use or taking them to a excellent dry cleaners for advice

try getting a news paper and ball up the pages one at a time and stuff them in your boots as tight as you can get them – the paper will draw the liquid in – also place the boots outside – gas is a volatile and that will help the vapors to dissipate – not to mention the vapors are not excellent to breath – you may need the change the paper a few times

DON’T Place THEM IN THE WASHER. That gasoline might cause problems with the mechanics of the machine. Why take the chance? I like the thought of stuffing with paper and putting outside.
